Is My Real Estate Closing Going to Cost More?

We close residential real estate transactions for clients on purchases and sales, refinancing and related matters at rates competitive with title companies. We are almost always meet or beat quotes you may receive for Real Estate Closings and Title and related costs.

Commercial real estate transactions can be different for the rates of Real Estate Closings and Title because of the addition of legal fees that would be customarily charged or are part of other legal work.  Some commercial closings and contracts become extremely complex, such as the purchase and sale of land with development rights or concurrency agreements.

Did You Know the State of Florida Sets Many of the Closing Costs?

Did you know that title insurance rates are set by the Florida Department of Revenue.  The state also sets the amounts charge for deed stamps and recording the deed.

What Closing Documents and Agreements Can You Draft?

Should I Do Anything After Closing?

There are some important considerations after closing your real estate transaction.  If the property will be your homestead or full-time residence, you should file for Homestead Exemption.  For more information on Homestead Exemption, see Florida Statutes Chapter 196 or the Florida Department of Revenue.

Did You Know that Florida Law May Now Control Your Estate Plan?

Estate planning, such as a will or trust, is state specific.  If you are moving from out-of-state, as so many did during COVID, you should consider updating your estate planning with a will, trust, health care surrogate and power of attorney.  Ask our team about how we can help guide you through proper planning to make sure your estate is handled they way you want.
