A developer wants to rezone land to build a 75-room hotel on San Marco Avenue at the site of a closed Dairy Queen, according to application materials with the city of St. Augustine.
Shri Hari Lodging Inc. owns the 0.68-acre parcel at 100 San Marco Ave. and wants to build an upscale hotel there, according to city documents.
The firm has applied, via St. Johns Law Group, to rezone the land from Commercial Low 2 to Commercial Medium 1, and change the land use designation from Commercial Low Intensity to Commercial Medium Intensity.
